Our Founder
When Kasey McClure was three years old she was
being sexually molested by her father but he was never prosecuted for his crime. By the age of eighteen, she followed her
older sister to Atlanta to work at the World Famous Gold Club as a stripper. She fell into the trap of the sex industry and
worked in strip clubs for 5 years. In 2003, Kasey gained enough courage through the support of her church and husband to leave
that destructive lifestyle. A few months after leaving the sex industry and over $60,000 in debt she was deciding to go back.
Kasey was use to making over a thousand dollars a night and was struggling financially and felt that the sex industry would
be her safest route. But she ended up pregnant with her first child (Sarah) and knew she couldn’t go back.
During
her pregnancy she felt God wanted her to show the women in the industry a way out like he had shown her. She knew that having
her daughter was a turning point in her life so she created 4Sarah. 4Sarah, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that empowers
change in the life direction of women and girls working in the sex industry as a stripper, prostitute, escort or victim of
sexual exploitation. Kasey formed 4Sarah in 2005 and has established 2 outreach teams that have 15 volunteers. The team participates
in monthly outreaches to women and girls working inside the strip clubs. 4Sarah has provided over 1,600 gift bags, 400 red
roses and served 10 home cooked meals during the Thanksgiving Holidays to the entire strip club staff. The Outreach team also
reaches out through random calls to women and girls that post ads as prostitutes on Craiglist under their adult service page.
In 2008 Mrs. McClure was given the opportunity to share her story to the study committee of the Commercial Sexual Exploitation
of Minors at the Georgia State Capitol. During this time Kasey was able to help the study committee understand that 80% of
the women and girls working in the sex trade are victims. Since they could not hear directly from a prostituted child Kasey
was used as a substitute to help tell the story. Mrs. McClure knows her story inspired the committee to feel
compassion for the victims working in the sex industry.
To help fund the organization each year 4Sarah host
an annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” walk event. This event was inspired by the National Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
organization and requires men to walk one mile in high-heels to stop sexual assault against women and children in Georgia.
This event has connected the community, men and victims to an understanding of the hurt and pain sexual abuse has on the family.
Proverbs 31:10 states who can find a virtuous women for her price is far above rubies. Kasey McClure strives daily to be
that woman to show other women and girls in the sex industry that they are loved, valuable and worth more then rubies. But
most of all she seeks to provide them with resources and support so they will have enough faith to leave the sex trade industry
permanently.
